Dear Parents,
I am your child’s 3rd grade teacher this year. I am very pleased to have the opportunity of having your child in my class this year. I’m looking forward to a very successful year and I know you are, as well. I have high expectations for every student and will do all that I can to help your child achieve those expectations.
I hope that I can count on you to be my partner in guiding your child to do their very best in my class. You can help by ensuring that your child completes all assigned work. Classwork and homework are assigned so that your bright student can practice working with the concepts learned in class. It is essential that students get this practice so they can master concepts and build on previous knowledge to become well-rounded, thoughtful individuals who have a thirst for knowledge. Help and guidance at home can be a great encouragement for your child to succeed in school. You can expect that your student will have homework to complete every night Monday through Thursday.
I want you to know that you can always contact me with any question or concern you may have about your child’s progress. I am available at during my conference period between 1:00 and 1:45 every day. You can also email me at [email protected] or call me at 210-355-0464. I am eager to get to know you throughout the school year!
Sincerely,
Rachel Stone
