Instructional Procedures
Beginning Each Day
Each day I will greet students at the door and invite them to have a seat on the big morning meeting rug. During morning meeting students will be asked to think about what happened the previous day in school and share thoughts in complete sentences using rich language. The first time I will model for students how to precede during morning meeting, and eventually students will be able to lead the meeting.
Ending Each Day
At the end of each day I will ask students to think of one thing that they learned today and write a complete sentence about it on a post-it note. I will call each student's name to line up at the end of the day, and the student will read his/her sentence for the class, stick his/her note to the "What Stuck With You?" board, and then get in line. We will go through this until everyone is in the line and ready to be dismissed.
